Highlights
Once again we relied on Google maps to lead the way on the drive to the hike without pre-assessing before leaving the house. Well, the map didn’t take us the right way to the hike we intended. We decided to hike the nearest trail to our location that it did take us to and try to meet up with the Penstock Loop Trail. No such luck and it was leading us away from it. While on that trail that we were on, we ended up at a campsite, which looked like a great place to camp. We proceeded out and ended up on a cross-country trail, making sure to walk on the sides to avoid any ski tracks to find our way to the trail. We saw some bear tracks that were very fresh, heading our way, so we booked it away from the direction of the tracks.

This is why we were making noise and why we were as loud as possible, we knew that it was a high possibility to run into wildlife. Bear Awareness is a MUST, bring bear spray, go in a group and be loud.

Final Thoughts
We couldn't end off on that note once we got back to our car, so we stopped at another trail just leaving Peter Lougheed. This hike is called Kings Creek. We were both so happy that we stopped for it, it is breathtaking! We only hiked a small portion of the trail, because we wanted to save this one for the rest of the family.
