Highlights
Ranger Summit Trail at a lovely 3°, It is another trail in West Bragg Provincial Park.

It started out with a good incline and then we couldn't figure out where the trail continued. There were 3 options: left, right and there is a biking trail that goes straight up through the trees. We first chose the trail on the right which was no good, as it takes you right to a cross country ski trail. We turned around and I noticed a different trail that looked like it would lead us to the right one from my map. My husband didn’t like this idea, so we returned back to the three choices area and my youngest chose the biking trail. Low and behold, that was the one!

You eventually get to a look-out spot which viewed the Rockies and the rest of Alberta. It is a great spot to grab a snack and a drink before proceeding. At this point, you could head back down the trail or continue. If you do, you will end up with another choice to make, either right or left. Left takes you back to the main parking lot, right will take you to a different parking lot which is a ways away. We took the left and hiked 10.74km in total.

The trail is well mapped to help you choose where you would like to go next. On one of the maps, we ended up leaving behind a hiking pole and dad had to go back to get it while the boys and I chilled in a sunny location.

Final Thoughts
Rating: another great family trail. You really can’t go wrong in West Bragg Provincial for family-friendly trails and the options seem to be endless.
